With nine years in fitness marketing, I am an experienced writer in the health and wellness industry, most recently creating compelling, original content as lead copywriter for Burn Boot Camp, one of Inc. Magazine's 5000 2023 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America. While many fitness brands sing messaging karaoke, my copy rises above repetitive fitness chatter, demonstrating expertise and brand authority by building an authentic and trustworthy brand voice.

CRM Marketing

Proficiency in audience segmentation in LoopSpark and Brandbot's automated communications workflows designed in Figma. These communications are created for Franchise Partner use as email and SMS reach over 115K Members, marketing national promotions, fitness challenges, retail and nutrition launches, and events. I have ten years of SEO and ASO experience with many brands incorporating best practices to optimize content for search engines, including keyword research and on-page optimization for websites, increased visibility on the app stores, and maximizing an app's appeal to new, existing, and lapsed users through keyword and conversion rate optimization.

Scriptwriting

Research, strategy, and narrative selection for scripts and voiceovers, ensuring they are impactful and written relentlessly in a brand's style, voice, and tone. Every word within every message must be engaging for the target audience, and the content must align with the overall brand strategy. I am laser-focused on finding a brand's UVP to create scripts for high-quality video productions, creating emotional engagement and brand awareness.

A long romance with fitness...

In lockstep with my longtime love of the written word and career as a copywriter has been a commitment to physical fitness and mental strength. In my 20s and 30s, I became a runner, weight trainer, and yogi. In my 40s, I became a certified personal trainer and E-RYT, eventually owning a hot yoga studio in Charlotte, NC. Over the years, I have honed my writing to what I know and love. The right messaging around health and fitness builds a bridge, creating a way for people to get where they are to where they want to be. It can deepen and expand our sense of self-worth, throwing a life preserver to those struggling to stay above water. Health, fitness, and wellness copy must be less transactional and more personal, focusing on confidence, community, strength, and inclusion.

In 2023, Burn Boot Camp embarked on a national brand campaign to re-introduce the brand's experience and define and refine the brand's unique value proposition. We highlighted Burn's position as a fitness industry disruptor through identified differentiators, weaving emotion and women's empowerment into our marketing to attract and resonate with our demographic.
